Testimonials

I have studied voice with Raphael for six years. During this time, I have grown immensely as both a singer and a performer.  The technical skills and confidence I have developed, working with Raphael, have enabled me to perform with groups such as Burnaby Lyric Opera and the Vancouver Bach Choir. Raphael is endlessly supportive, and works very hard to help her students reach their musical goals while balancing school or a career.”

For over 5 years, Raphael has taught each of our three children singing. She is charming, kind, considerate of their ages and interests. It is a pleasure to know her and recommend her… she happens to sing beautifully too !

I am beginning another (my 8th) year of lessons with Raphael. Yes, there is still much to learn and I am delighted with my vocal improvement. Her coaching has given me the ability to reach new levels and her guidance help build my confidence to become a solo singer even though I had sung in choirs for over 15 yrs.

Raphael made me feel at ease from day one and that is so important in developing the freedom to release your voice.  Her positive attitude and great sense of humour made learning fun and enjoyable!
She was able to select classical Italian repertoire that suited my style of singing.
She was also open to suggestions of modern favorites that every soprano longs to perform.
I can’t thank her enough for all the time she has devoted to helping me develop my gift.

I have been exposed to intensive music training for more than 15 years now ( 3 years with Raphael) &  never have I found such improvement and appreciation in the technique and my overall mindset of my instrument.  Raphael has been nothing but helpful, supportive and inspiring since I first met her and never am I not thankful for everything she has taught me. Not only am I learning and doing more every lesson but feeling more confident as well which will be ever valuable when I decide to continue studying voice academically in the near future.
